Misc 2019 Banter & Friendly Conservation

I’ve never been so close to replying to someone or something, and then I have an epiphany that I’m a pretty good guy.

Frebruary is essentially 1/3 over. Modeling goes out to 15 days and everything looks atrocious. JB = Fail

I know if this threat doesn’t pan out for mby on Tuesday. I am ready to waive the flag and move on to spring. This winter has been disappointment after disappointments. ???

Ensembles usually are bad for me over the last few years. They tease and then pull the red carpet.

My complaint of the night though is that two hour plus update Windows 10 sent me on..just fml.

NC folks from Raleigh eastward should pay attention to what's going on with the system on the 28th. Might call this one the Michael Myers storm with the way it's coming back from the dead.

Tuesday
"Considerable cloudiness. Occasional rain showers in the afternoon. Snow may mix in. High 48F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 60%."

#winning
(sadly, this is TWC, which means its wrong)

I think I should start the thread, because I haven't started any storm threads on here ever. I'm 100% scoring on snowstorms.
I think I should start the thread because I never have and apparently it's a big deal

I think I should start the thread since I have no horse in the race ...

This winter sucks. Nothing good for NC/SC to track at least through the 2nd week of February. Pooping pathetic

Fun times, guys, fun times..

What you’re seeing right now is the result of -NAO being modeled but never coming to fruition

Cyclogent says that Chattanooga is to the west of the Apps, but i thought Chattanooga was pretty much in the App mountain chain. Aren't there even mountains west and north of Chattanooga ? I don't even consider Birmingham west of the Apps, since i know there are some mountains in the Birmingham area.

Now that our long national nightmare is over (for three weeks at least), any word on when we can expect the FV3 to become operational?

Please let there be no debates on ground temps. in the storm thread.

Mods, if that gets out of hand over there in the storm thread, please tell them to move that debate over here.

If you didn’t learn last year in December that ground temps arnt a big deal than the jokes on you
Can't compare this system with that one. For one, the sun angle was lower in early December. Also, I'm not sure I remember it coming during the middle of the day ? I could be wrong about that. And also I think the rates of snow were very high and of course when rates are high ground temps don't matter as much. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe this is a light snow event ?

Going to guess the positive trends ended with the 12z RGEM for the coastal. Haven’t been able to look at maps, but the PI index has cratered, and that’s usually a good indicator.
