Misc 2019 Banter & Friendly Conservation

Talking about MCS and backdoor cold fronts leave me with a question for here in the Triangle area of NC. I've noticed that when we have a HP in the SE, get that NW steer, those MCS form and move SE into the Triad. What I usually get here are strong/severe looking wall clouds, then they dissipate as they approach, and we are left looking at a dying thunderstorm that bears heavy wind (in spite of the decaying storm). I've never had any rain from those, but could tell back towards the Triad they had to be strong. They have a defining wall cloud with wind.

Backdoor cold fronts that approach the Triangle are usually associated with 90 plus heat, and when the storms do form, there is a lot of haze, so much to the point that you almost can't see the thunderstorm as it approaches, then suddenly its dark grey and hazy. Why do MCS's have a defining wall cloud, and why do we get so hazy and grey from backdoor cold fronts from the Mid atlantic/NE?

Also, when we get storms from the south/SE, they are usually associated with sharp blue skies and beautiful cumulonimbus clouds. There is definite clarity from the S/SE storms that move northward.

I went to my first Braves game and first live game ever that wasn't a scrimmage a couple days ago for my birthday. Pretty amazing to think about with me being a sports fan and it's still unbelievable to think about. All in all besides the lots not opening until 5:30, causing us to go up the road one more time (we went up and down Circle 75 Parkway 4 times since we were amateurs this time), and dealing with Atlanta type traffic (although it was probably more gameday traffic) making me grumble a bit, it was a good time. I was trembling because of how excited/nervous I was, and it was to the point for a moment I was worried about my heart.

The chop in Suntrust Park actually didn't feel forced! Doing the flashlight chop gave me chills near the end when I did it. The second time, I took a panoramic shot from where I was sitting.
