looks like St. Louis is the snow king in the next week or so
That's awesome but we won't be there too long, maybe an overnight stay and that's it..... and not just because I think it's dangerous Lol. Mostly because I don't have that much time (or money) and we like road trips actually, stopping at little markets, side shops, off the beaten path places to eat, etc... we love it.I have a lot of family in St. Louis Metro. Drive there at least once or twice a year. Man, You'd be shocked at all the city has to offer.
Very kid friendly too.![]()
Omg, I was blown away with St. Louis. I visited there this past year and absolutely fell in love with the area. Of course, I have lived in a small town all of my life so it doesnt take much to blow me awayI have a lot of family in St. Louis Metro. Drive there at least once or twice a year. It's almost like the -NAO is somehow conducive to southeastern snowstorms! That is the type of scenario that can unfold when you have this kind of upper air look. Look at the orientation of the PV. Look at the western ridge. Look at the -NAO block. See what I mean?

It would be great to see that type of upper air look to actually make it into the short range. I don't know why it is that models show patterns like this in the LR but wash them out or change them altogether as time moves forward, especially when it comes to a -NAO.It's almost like the -NAO is somehow conducive to southeastern snowstorms!

Over 16in in areas with that storm FWIW, but there is a storm signal with models for something special.Sweet Jesus View attachment 10709
Neither do I brother, not fully. I actually just uttered something very similar here. Hopefully in a week we will be staring down something similar to that.It would be great to see that type of upper air look to actually make it into the short range. If @Brick Tamland got that and a little off this weekend storm. That would push him close to like 30 inches for the year... that would be impressive ...
