27.2 degrees, dewpoint has been hovering between 10 and 11 for my location, which is weird since the airport in a much more paved area reported a dew point of only 6 earlier.
Regarding Georgia and Alabama?I seriously hope you're checking soundings and trends in upper level air, because I don't see much support for that at all.
Regarding totals, and AL + N GA. The thermals don't say there will be 0 accumulation south of the mountains on any model unless you're full in on the NAM or HRRR. Even those models say the thermals are at worst case in central AL 34 mid-event. ZR can take some snow totals down but I think the high rates may outcompete the warm nose in some cases too. If any rain happens, it won't be enough to do that except south of I-20 I'd think.Regarding Georgia and Alabama?
Thermals are def a struggle currently but that should change.View attachment 162102
Not the greatest look at this range but still a ways to go

Thanks for the detailed breakdown! I see what you’re saying about the thermals and how the high rates could outcompete the warm nose in some areas. For Alabama and northern Georgia, especially south of the mountains and near I-20, I’ve been leaning toward minimal lasting accumulations due to potential rain or ZR impacts. I’m not arguing that there won’t be any accumulation, but I just don’t see it lasting very long at all. I’ll definitely take another look at the trends, especially with the NAM and HRRR showing some variance.Regarding totals, and AL + N GA. I still really like my call map from yesterday morning.
You know as soon as that overcast hits, it’s gonna warm about 5 degrees! But you still looking good!24/19 now..were gonna go low tonight! Hopefully that translates to a bust on the high side for dendrites
There it is. Came from east TN. Riding across central NC like its gonna transfer, miller B. Glad someone else is seeing this
Hope those 850's crash for bama folks

Most likely yes, good catchAlmost looks like a mid level ridge....wonder if that would enhance snowfall in SW TN. Interesting.
Just remember, those 850s are bone dry. As soon as saturation hits, it'll plummet.Hope those 850's crash for bama folks
Edit: Forsyth and me and same wave length apparently

@jimmy What is your location? Google doesn't find a town named Cover.

Strange .. this is what I get when I click on location …@jimmy What is your location? Google doesn't find a town named Clover

You never get many reports out of AR…lack of people who really give a rip about anything but duck hunting.View attachment 162115
Still early but mping reports back to the west look grim.
You have Cover under your username but Clover makes more sense. So, west of CLT. Just curious because I like to consider biases.
