Don't hear any sleet at all here in Kernersville, snow is picking up the last hour.
Yes it’s a small little band passing throughIt's snowing in Alabama right now ?
A few hours of light to moderate pixie dust here in Richmond. I think we’ll be lucky to crack 2 inches. Low end of the guidance envelope but not a bust. This was a route 58 to petersburg snow. Don’t really care though, it was such a pleasant, windless, powdery snow that had no problems accumulating. Going out to my friends river house tomorrow to throw snowballs and drink beer and eat oysters. On to the next.
iPhone 16 has solid night mode for picsWhat in the? How is it so light there? Is that the camera or do you live on a street that bright?
Wait a minute.. do I live in a cave and this is normal?
I am going to try setting a vibrate alarm on my watch and we’ll see if that’s good enough to wake me up, LOL. Don’t want to set a real alarm and wake up my lady or she’d be none to happy to be shocked awake in the middle of the night.
RAH reported:I actually managed to wake up and check and it seems precip is largely over and whatever fell was probably just more ZR, anyways. Disappointing, but oh well. Definitely not making my 2-3” I expected here, hope we at least made an inch (seemed like it, but I never formally measured). I don’t think RDU itself made an inch. The couple hours of snow we had were great, at least.
Yep starting to hear the crackling sound when the wind blows this morningGot a fair amount of ice in the trees. Like I said earlier, a little worried about power outages when the wind picks up this morning.

Prolly 1.5 on top of the white concrete here Luke.I don’t have an official ruling but I would say around 2 inches total in Blacksburg.
