ZR quickly back after short lull. It’s the best rates you can have for ZR. Its spring showers intensity falling in 27 degrees.

Freezing rain is such a bizarre weather phenomenon to me. I've only experienced it once and even that time it was just a light glaze.

"Warm nose" arrived here this morning. Had a low of 51F but was up to around 70F by 8am and won't go below 65F tonight.

Eh. Summer is what's depressing here. It's not like I have any chance of snow so as long as winter is around or below average temperature wise I'm happy. It's very pleasant.

Some mangled flakes mixing in with IP under these heavier returns, 30/70 SN:IP, down to 30.6/27.0, back deck is coated. A little bit of -ZR earlier but it’s mostly been sleet, until this heavier band where there is some snow.

Likely another 2-3 hours of these rates of ZR. Probably will get 0.1-0.25” of liquid. 90% accretion minimum. On top of the 0.1-0.15” I have now is quickly making me sweat.

Changed back to snow/ sleet mix
Radar filling in nicely around Asheville. This could help push a few more areas to near half a foot by late tonight. 
I think I may see some mangled flakes mixing in under these heavier returns but I also don’t trust my weenie eyes. Might just be big sleet pellets.

Meso scale disco is spot on with this freezing rain. Fort Mill, SC is pretty much an ice globe.

Freezing drizzle ongoing. If the temp hadn’t warmed to like 32.4 for several hours today this could have been a lot worse.

Back to lgt sleet again.... I've got to get up at 5 in the morning to take my daughter to work in Mt.Airy, should be a interesting drive.

Ended up with 0.25" snow/sleet if we're being generous. Might be the saddest measuring stick pic I've ever taken lol

As the last bit moves out, seems we ended up with about 0.25" ZR, after the 1.5" of snow and 0.3" sleet. About half the snow/sleet is melted/compacted now but the pavement is a skating rink and the trees are creaking.
