Wintry 1/9-12 Winter Potential Great Dane or Yorkie

Seeing some icicles on the roof in Charlotte. Rock Hill and Gastonia are at .05" ice according to Brad P.

NWS has my Point forecast at 1/4-.3” ICE overnight lol

Sleet, ZR mix currently. Maybe just under and inch of snow. Didnt think I would switch this early.

I was going to post a couple of days ago but it would have been shot down. NEVER bet against the NAM and it's ability to nail the upper levels for a winter storm in the SE. BTW, I think the globals did an excellent job seeing this storm from 10+ days. I DO think we will have several more storms to follow going forward. This is a lot different than the past couple of years.

It's switched back over to fairy dust here.

Every time NAM shows an early flip to FR or R it verifies for me. I’ll never doubt it again…. Until next time.

Some mangled flakes mixing in with IP under these heavier returns, 30/70 SN:IP, down to 30.6/27.0, back deck is coated. A little bit of -ZR earlier but it’s mostly been sleet, until this heavier band where there is some snow.

Eh. Summer is what's depressing here. It's not like I have any chance of snow so as long as winter is around or below average temperature wise I'm happy. It's very pleasant.
I need my 4 seasons. Florida is a no go. LOL

Likely another 2-3 hours of these rates of ZR. Probably will get 0.1-0.25” of liquid. 90% accretion minimum. On top of the 0.1-0.15” I have now is quickly making me sweat.
