I’m thinking this sort of snow/sleet half n half is what we’re gonna have all the way till ZR kicks in

So the HRRR was correct with the northerly push of the warm nose. Sad.
That's what happened to us and ZR has been falling for 6-7 hours now. Trees are definitely leaning.

Sure glad this rain isn't heavier. Been 31 something all day. Right now it's 31.4, and the trees are coated. Won't be good when the wind picks up. Pretty impressed with the consistent temp.
Sucks to argue/break the will of High Res models, but...I got exactly what they were showing. .5 of snow and now concrete and RZ....

Light sleet here at the coast. Not expecting it to last much longer
The Hrrr would indicate we have about 5 more hours or so, maybe some less closer towards ATL. My lights have flickered and the trees are coated. Wondering how it’s going elsewhere?

We’ve transitioned to sleet up here In Little Switzerland after a good 2-3 inches of snow.
There’s still a lot of precip to go here. That early start helped us out some

Where is the NWS and Brad nitz finding that much moisture left? @ForsythSnow
There is some ice accumulating on tree branches and the power lines over here, but it’s a very light glaze at the moment. Nothing too crazy yet. I have noticed the winds have picked up quite a bit. Temperature was holding steady at 32, but just dropped to 31.
Still mostly sleet here

Correlation coefficient line. It usually delineates snow from sleet in winter storms. The CC line is created by snow flakes melting aloft before they reach the ground, causing the CC to drop because you’re getting a different wide array of hydrometeor reflectors in the radar beam
