Had a good burst of big sleet that actually lasted almost an hour. Enough to whiten the roofsVERY LIGHT, snow/Rain Mix here in Surf City, Topsail Island (ON the Coast).. (Very small dendrites.. ) mixed with even lighter Rain..
Column just got saturated.. temps 36 w/a dew of 23F
@Shaggy & @lexxnchloe , seeing anything, (yet)??
Yeah, light here too. If temps were more marginal or soil temps were warmer this would be the kind of snow where it could go for hours and not stick so we were fortunate.Immediate sticking. You just can’t beat it.
Been snowing lightly here for about 45 minutes.
How do you mean, ice?I do not like how this is setting up for places like Harnett/East and South Wake/Wilson counties
That’s two sticking snows in Graham in six daysHere’s a picture where I am in Graham View attachment 162586
I’m afraid so. I hope I’m wrong.How do you mean, ice?

30.6 with freezing rain continuing to come down lightly. Yuck.Ice is getting thick and now the wind has picked up out of the east. 31.6, dewpoint of 30.6.
You still getting some snow mixed in there?So far here there’s hasn’t been anything heavy but it’s been steady for about an hour. I’d say 60/40 sleet to snow, but heavier bursts has more snow. All the roofs are white and there’s a dusting on the ground. Roads are getting slushy
Freezing drizzleStill 29 ZR
Jimmy why is what looks like heavier returns on radar not materializing as ground truth??Regardless of precip type??Still 29 ZR
