Same here but I don't see it lasting long. Rates dropped off but there's a huge area building back west. Crossing my fingers as we sit at around 1.5".

Got about 1.5” here in Cumming and now it’s a light rain
I'm back to mostly snow now. 1" of snow and .25" or so of crust on top. Sledding was epic just now.I'm @ 29.1 with steady ZR coming down now
about 2.75" near downtown Huntsville so far

Quick note for central NC. HRRR has us getting to 41 today.. NAM has us getting to 36. Currently 27

Should be any minute now for you. On the Roswell/Woodstock line and we just switched back to fully snow.

I'd much rather have a board wide hit with light to moderate accumulation. Vs a big storm that drops a heavy amount to a small area. So happy for you guys down in GA, AL and MS.

I know looks can be deceiving with higher reflectivies of sleet and melting snow aloft but I do wonder if some dynamically cooling could come into play in the heart of it and just to it's north. Rates look damn impressive even taking into consideration of melting snow.

2 inches here at my house. Snow mixing back in. Was a period of sleet/v light precipitation. Trends aren’t too shabby. Friends in midtown got a heavy band earlier this morning

Are the upper levels cooling back off around ATL? It seems to be trying to go from sleet to snow but hasn't yet. Just little spurts of flakes.

Just my two cents, but the radar looks great right now comparatively. I think the FV3 will lead the way here and you're good for 3-4 inches just from the fronto band. I'm not buying the anemic totals on the Hrrr over your way.
