RNK had my forecast at 3-5 total this morning at 5am Now they have upped it to 4-6 total. we'll see I guess

Just a bit over 2" here, and still snowing like crazy. About 1/2" an hour rate. Small flakes, but there are a lot of them. Temps holding steady at since 6am.

Ripping pretty good here in Rabun County. Have gone from nothing to a nice powdered sugar-like dusting in about 15 minutes. Temps sitting right at 29-30.

they did have sleet included last night with 2" possible so nice increase.

Looks like the NAM is caving, bringing the frozen line S/E
I just walked down in the woods to dig the old sled out. It had briars and trees grown up around it. Cleaned it off and now we’re set. It feels so good to be back
Well it's cold enough, we got that going for us. 25/16GSP has got me all snow with 2-6 possible

How far south does it retreat south and what time frame?
So we can finally put to rest that ATL hasn't had an inch in 7 years. Happy for them! Now its your go at the streak, Charlotte!!!
I’m on that same line, too, LOL. The upstream OBS from BHM/ATL has me hoping we can maybe overperform like they did, too, although I don’t think we can necessarily extrapolate from that we’ll overperform based on what they did. Encouraging signs / vibes, though!
The RGEM looks heavenly.

Amen to that! I bottomed out at 16.5 this morning I'm up to 25° with virga overhead. Patiently waiting. My son Noah is all excited wants to build a snowman later.

Accu-weather just upped mine from 2-4 to 3-6
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I’d be cautious some of those bands (and this is true in general) are sleet bright banding. Hope not, though! Amazing storm so far for ATL! Most snow in many years!

Heavy sleet in Chapin SC. Sticking to the surfaces immediately.
I know we all are focused on this one but we have another storm on the 22nd and it looks better potential than this one today. Let’s make it a double.

The snow line got pushed northward from 6z. NAM didn't do good yesterday, but we can't discount it right now. Just another option still on the board.
South of 85 winners do happen sometimes and they usually aren’t forecasted. Just fyi
I've transitioned to sleet after a solid three inches of snow.
