1 inch or greater it was January 2018, but I think the airport did get a dusting as recently as December 2022.Might me the wrong thread but how long has it been since Atlanta had a measurable snowfall?
Same, but now it looks like the snow is mixing back in again. Flakes are getting thicker and fluffier again.Sleet starting to mix in.
Yeah, WTF is with them?I'm in Sandy Springs with probably around 3 inches on the ground.
It's fun to see the official NWS forecast still calling for "Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible."
Josh, we just got an alert to expect 3-4 inches over the next few hours. We are just fine. Already looking good outside my window while I work.Yeah, north end of Georgia will get lot less than Atlanta and I-20 area is getting. Much heavier rates down that way.
As long as it busts for the better we good!! Lolwe’ve got a mix all the way to South Myrtle Beach extending 30 miles out into the Atlantic. My call map already busting
Not that super heavy band but 1 per hour or maybe higher should for sure.@MotoWeatherman those fancy heavy rate ATL bands gonna make there way up here?
This is one of those storms where I can see the front end thump over performing, especially down in GA, but the warm nose on the back end also over performs as well.
From my observations off mem's radar, the CC line is starting to go southward just south of Memphis currently. Hope this translates east and you finish strong and send us down the road more cold air!4.5 here and snowing hard
Some footage of the death band.
It relaxed just a little here. 10 min ago I measured 0.75" but we're closing in on an inch solid here. Family in Auburn, GA is nearing 2" already.Measured 1.3" 15 minutes ago . we've been steady mod snow but haven't gotten the rates like people closer to the city proper have. Actually now that I look outside we seem to be sleeting. Hopefully we go back to snow under heavier returns. Noticed this on some guidance (RAP?) last night with the bullseye inside/south of the city and it nailed it.
