31/20 here holding stable. Warming has stopped entirely as have the DP rising. I fully expect when the band hits for temps to plummet and DPs to catch up at around 27 or so unless another warm area comes in

Hey guys. Longtime member, but post very rarely. Pleasant surprise this morning. I'm just outside Downtown Birmingham. Have a good mix of snow and sleet. Ground is white. Temps about 32-33.

Still nothing in Woodstock at all. My driveway is extremely steep and curvy and it hasn’t been an issue since I moved here in January 2021. We got about an inch and a half in 2022 but never stuck to my driveway. I put my old AWD beater station wagon in the street last night lol

Got about 1.5 inches here, currently 30 degrees. Sitting on the front porch watching the snow fall, the flakes catch light as they fall and look like glitter glittering through the air. Never seen this before, so cool

Latest Hrrr says the upstate makes gravy from noon through 4-5pm before a potential changeover to sleet(very close to holding that off). It's been trending further south with that snow line as well.

Got a good coverage, not spotty, of 1/4 inch of sleet, and now big fat flakes mixing in.

Congratulations on everyone who’s getting in on the winter weather today. For those in central NC, I’m seeing the overnight models coming in less flat and scooping out a footprint of where more mixed precip is cutting into the best snow totals around the I-85 corridor. It won’t effect the impact of the storm though.

I woke up to a virga storm. However, visibility map indicates snow is approximately 30-40 minutes away from Nashville.

I’m not sure. I woke up to mixed precipitation. Figured that’s what I’d get all day then after about 30 min or so it switched over to snow.

I guess this would depend on the rate of precipitation falling over the dry layer. Much easier to figure out the snow/virga line with the visibility map.
