We have snow!!! Coming down pretty good now.
Ground is completely covered in snow and now the roads are getting white as well.

What are you thinking for our neck of the woods? I’m guessing 2.5-3” with a nice dose of sleet that will give this lots of staying power.
Peachtree street in downtown is snowcovered.

I’m surprised why local TV Mets are still advertising reduced amounts when ground truth shows this thing is obviously over performing…at least right now to me it is. Dumping fat flakes now and stacking up.

Here’s what the TWC future radar shows. Obviously the 6 o’clock hour is wrong, maybe the rest of it will be too.
Heavy snow…I don’t think I’ve seen snow this heavy since January 2011. It feels good to have a legit snow in a winter storm again.

Won't be long based on the radar and reports. I'm saying 15 minutes and we'll be seeing the first fat flakes fall.

Other than the initial mixing for dynamic cooling, it’s almost entirely a snow or rain depiction on radar. Almost like it’s a slider or miller A vs sliding our LP up to grandfather mountain
Yup. Starting to look as such.
Connector is gettting covered quickly. 31 degrees now. All side roads around me are white. Went on a walk with my dog and its a very wet slick snow but its sticking to everything.
Everyone is welcome I fought the good fight watching radar and meso must night anx seeing thr frustration of dry air keeping winning but I eventually passed out and then everything went boom... Its snowing steady here in Dallas GA with lots to go...now its a climo race to put as much on ground untill mixing

Good call. I agree with you. We should net .4-.49 qpf. I circled the 4 yesterday as my final call, But I noticed on the Graph last night, we end last hour or 2 with the orange barely getting over our heads. The other foreign guidance kept us all white, but by about 15 miles. Obviously we know that's most likely gonna wiggle north on us some and change us to sleet. It would never work in the opposite direction lol.
I haven't looked at 6z Cams, getting ready to. I can tell from downtown Atlanta webcams, the Nam as suspected was way off, missing the onset snow. No shocker. Its frustrating cause late yesterday it had us getting zilch snow here. So there's a tool we need to use and its never much help when you need it most.
I'll be disappointed if we aint scrapping at least 3 inches of snow and sleet off the driveway. Estatic with anything 4+. Ive rode the 2-4 call with the 4 getting circled yesterday morning so no need to change. Happy for us and everyone else on here we get to see some frozen precip.

I love seeing everyone so excited and actually getting winter weather!
We usually see things start earlier than modeled.
We also usually have hopes that things are over performing, but we need to let it play out. I know that there are changeovers and heartbreak to come. Starting off as snow and sleet with minor accumulations was predicted by most models.

Yep, keeps a lot of Wake in all snow throughout the event (except for Rain Cold's old place).

Yea they've been rock steady. Thanks for posting this by the way.
That finger across NC has been there for almost a week, especially Euro AI, probably over a week. I'll be interested to see the outcome maps after the smoke settles on this one.
Crazy, temp down to 29, heavy snow, just ripping probably an inch down already.
Tumbled to 29.5... still ripping fat flakes.
