GFS still loves it's warm but still all frozen and a notch colder and snowier so far.
The fact we have good agreement on a front end thump is huge, whatever happens after is gravy just give us a nice band of snow and ill take it
hopefully this isn't any of my richmond bias leaking but the solutions where that trough is too positively tilted and we end up with a sheared out 1-2 incher are still pressed into my mind. i'm wary of that thing being slowerImprovement at the Friday 15z benchmark, tho not fully there

Little more positive tilt should help keep it a touch more east, baby steps but at least in right direction
That sfc low is a tick SE of 18z. I assume she’ll cut inland still but let’s see if it starts a trend

This does look to be an improvement over the 18z run. I do wish that high pressure over southeast NC was in a better position.

SLP over Macon is not where most of us want it. Pensacola to Savanah is where I want it.
Very true, but look how the gulf air keeps shifting. That’s a big sign to look at for more winter weather. At least if your in NC/SC.
For central/eastern NC this run still sucked, less sucky than 18z but still sucky

I think GFS told the other model guidance I got to use the restroom. Ya'll (other models) go ahead and go back to the office with that Low placement. this needs improvement fast. lol

Aint gonna with that track. We all need it to move along and off GA coast. Then it can hang out, drag, smoke a cigar do whatever. The track is where we win big , win ugly or loose

That is the fly in the ointment I see with this run. The cold air feed into the storm is almost non existent with the high in this position and the warm nose pushes the CAD out of the picture.
The GFS improved a bit at 500mb - more positive tilt with the trough. As usual, baby steps with the GFS

Look at TN and AL ... this is trending flatter and colder in some areas

Yeah it’s location dependent. The snow starved on the southern flanks of the clown maps need more positive tilt than what the GFS is throwing out

I just have a really hard time believing the gfs . I truly don’t believe this is right . I think the gefs will lean towards the Icon /AI and so will the King but we will see for now I’m heading to bed catch yall in the morning!!

Hard to take the Canadian seriously when it has Charlotte at 13F Friday morning (GFS -- 29F; ICON -- 24F; NAM -- 29F).
