High on ice potential but low on snow. Fair forecast at this point
Final Call. Not a noteworthy event for Wilkes/Surry due to initial band raising our wetbulb and inconsistent showers will only slowly bring cold rain 32. Enjoy the renegade sleet showers Sunday night then it’s mostly rain for Monday. 
Sparta NC will probably see a bit more ice and of course Virginia. Tree topper ice with pellets of sleet initially. Wet Monday morning. Icy commute for those in the high country.

Incredible consistency on the RGEM (here's a GIF of the last 10 cycles for 15z tomorrow). On the front end, the RGEM really really really likes the idea of wintry precip at the onset in East TN and upper northwest GA.

Agree, they seem to have a pretty reasonable take on it for now. If the higher end QPF works out, I am concerned about power some.

I mean Tulsa had 6-8 in February 2022 but it also took like a whole day. This may happen in a few hours tomorrow

Honestly glad this system is further north as far as winter weather is concerned. All I’m getting is ZR so I’ll gladly pass on the heavier stuff. I do see some possibility of light snow on the backside but not expecting more than a dusting to a half inch. Euro shows 2 inches while 12z Nam shows 1 inch followed by the gfs with about a half inch of snow. If I was a betting man I’m definitely not betting on the higher side!

Beefy backside will have some surprises. Have a feeling a lot of that west of the apps will progress farther east than modeled.

Finally starting to relax knowing I will see a few hours of mod to perhaps heavy wet snow tomorrow night. This is thanks to modeling picking up on some weak frontogenetic forcing out ahead of the main WAA frontogenesis.
