1.5” here in N High Point. Looking at radar I think we probably don’t get to 2 but it’s beautiful out there and a more than I expected.

Still sleeting pretty good out there and from what I can tell, it's trying to stick to everything.
Kinda hard to not feel a little robbed though.

Pushing 1.5" in Cary when I took this and rates are picking up with that band moving in. Probably over 1.5" by now.
Streamers in the old Cree equipped security light, 3000 lumens in 2008 was big time for LED. A work horse…

Just a question of how long we can keep it up, flipped here in the last 5 mins, flake size will probably shrink on down but rates are really high, maybe .5-.75" a hr is doable for awhile but how long....figure we might have 4-5 hrs left but it almost always ends faster than we or the models think.
Just absolutely pouring here.

Back edge approaching.... Got an inch just south of W-S.
Starting to get close to covering up most of the tops of the grass blades. That’s the mark of a good storm to me. Good rates continue. Will take another walk shortly.

I think it’s safe to say this has overperormed on the W/NW side? As we often see with these setups. I don’t think there were many models that had places like Winston-Salem racking up an inch, even the bullish ones. Maybe today’s GFS did.

2inches with the death band still to come 
That area west of Raleigh has increased in coverage even expanded north a touch. I might just get clipped by the mega band, let's go!
