Yeah, but, the Icon gives central NC about 6+ hours of rain. NOT GOOD. Hope it's too warm. Usually, the NAM models are very good with temperature profiles so I hope they are correct.DWD-ICON looks like it's almost a packfan bullseye. 0.5" QPF max near Salisbury would end up being more than 6" of snow w/ 12-15:1 ratios

Personally I approve of this GFS run...The GFS is trending in the right direction but is still dry as a bone (lol go figure). This model is playing catch up...
Yeah, with temps in the 20sWhoa! I wasn't expecting that. There would be serious travel issues if that verified.

Honestly and not wishcasting, I'd gi with the NAM on temps it always does well with that. I think there will be some mixing at the onset but it should be a quick change over Central and Northwestern Piedmont of North Carolina looks solid to meYeah, but, the Icon gives central NC about 6+ hours of rain. Nah...if Gulf tap happens, it will occur along 20/59 corridor as well...and thats where your 20:1 ratios will be.No doubt. Jackpot area may be across south AL into south GA if that happens.
Yeh it shows us at 33 with rain moving in and temps dropping. I imagine the next frame would be snow you would thinkPer RGEM cold air arriving late in the upstate but still plenty of firehouse action once temps decide to cooperate
Thanks man
Is this what you would call, a Mega Cliiper? Idk

The East side of AL/West GA would be looking at 3 inches of dry snow with potential of having 15 to 1 ratios are close to itAnd QPF

RGEM reversed the east ATL donut hole and gave us a decent amount of snowfall for a change. Here is closer look of RGEM from PW with Kuchera totals through 48 hours...
