The power of the wedge.we’ve got to discontinue this thing View attachment 189836
Receipts noted.I'd sing it standing in the snow in my boxers and video it for all to see if this happens
Fair point. And no, 8 inches isn’t roof collapsing. Not even in the south.Lol are you being serious? 20 inches of 20 to 1 snow is the same weight as 8 inches of 8 to 1 snow. Last I checked 8 inches of snow doesn't collapse roofs unless its made of card board. But nevermind any of that because no one is going to sniff anything close to that or half of that either.
Heck. I don’t even know if ive ever seen 20:1 snow before. The rare occasion we do get snow in Atlanta, it’s usually pretty darn wet. And heavy to shovel.Fair point. And no, 8 inches isn’t roof collapsing. Not even in the south.
Last week’s dread has made me edgy. Gonna take a while to shake that off. Just looking at pics out of MS isn’t helping.

Watching def bands in another state is hella easier than watching one a few miles away.Bringing the ull thru Ala. gets Ga into the def bands and some good amounts as opposed to dropping down thru the Carolinas and giving w Ga squat. I'd like to see it turn east around LaGrange. Get Ala involved.

I think people may read too far into a “dislike”. I don’t always treat it as something that reflects on the poster.I think you're saying it's not looking like an ice storm. You're getting negative responses like you're saying it actually looks like it's maybe so.
That would be a fantastic clarification to make. Thanks for your great input to discussions here.
Hope is why we appear to “never learn”. And I’m ok with appearing to “never learn”. Cuz it’s not like I/we haven’t. The “but what if?” is so worth the risk! It’s paid off before. And that rush is glorious!Pretty large decrease on the EPS for most. Hopefully it’s not the start of our classic rug pull we see a couple days before go time
I took your reactions as a dislike to an ice storm potential. I really didn't think he was indicating that by his post - but that it could be misconstrued.I think people may read too far into a “dislike”. I don’t always treat it as something that reflects on the poster.
My dislike reaction was to an ice storm look (or even mention of). Not the quality of the actual post. I’ve not studied that look to see if ice storm right or wrong. I just saw highs north and wedge looking. And I’m like “oh hell no, not again”. Last week was miserable. I need fun winter tracking!
I read it exactly as he meant it. But I guess if I squint, I can maybe see some confusion? Maybe? But prolly important to clarify things, so it’s cool ya pointed it out. Imagine some others are a bit shell shocked from this past week.I took your reactions as a dislike to an ice storm potential. I don't think he meant to mean an ice storm potential with the storm; but I'll let him answer.
Someone was telling me last week there is a site you can bet on weather and everything in between. I was like remind me to stay the hell away from that.Hope is why we appear to “never learn”. Just don’t carry this being “ok with” to polymarket or whatever that other one is. The one that sounds like some crunchy, earthy cracker or cereal at Whole Foods. Do they let you bet on storms yet? Don’t answer that.
Oh it’s totally a thing. Manipulations and all. And not regulated. Have heard about on various tech podcasts and the All In podcast.Someone was telling me last week there is a site you can bet on weather and everything in between. I was like remind me to stay the hell away from that.
Yeah its sucks knowing we can’t even buy a snowstorm this year this winter season for Alabama has been awfulI’m feeling for the folks in Alabama (middle of the state) really hope Feb can bring some more systems. Not seeing much after this weekend but maybe the pattern is still there. My brother lives in Birmingham and I know him and his kids have been bummed.
IF IT NEVER SNOWED OR ICED AGAIN IN ALABAMA I WOULD DIE A HAPPY MAN. MY PAYING JOB IS A 9-1-1 DISPATCHER FOR A COUNTY NEAR BIRMINGHAM AND IT IS COMPLETLY CRAZY WHEN IT SNOWS. HELL FOLKS CANT DRIVE WHEN ITS DRY THEN YOU ADD IN FROZEN STUFF TO THE MIX AND IT IS A NIGHTMARE. IM ALSO A VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER AND ITS THE SAME ON THAT END AS WELL..Yeah its sucks knowing we can’t even buy a snowstorm this year this winter season for Alabama has been awful
If the trend does not stop, then even us NC peeps will miss out.View attachment 189852
New Euro shifted eastward. Hopefully this trend stops or we will lose all our QPF inland

I am worried about the complete whiff east.Icon eps and euro AI previous tuns were a complete wiff offshore. I don’t think the storm will be too far north

Memory serves me right, it kinda went a bit being the furthest SE on of our systems esrlier this season, only to slingshot back NW by a good bit. Not overly concerned ... yet.
Dude sounds like a Nap is in order.Well I hope everyone is safe and warm. I just got done with a 48hr shift clearing roads in Bakersville NC (Mitchell County). Back roads are solid ice in WNC especially the foothill regions. Did get some backend NW flow yesterday. Interesting storm. Now to bed lol I'm beat.
Yeah no kidding got about 2" of sleet here. How did you make out?Dude sounds like a Nap is in order.
