Yeah, some people have all the good weather. I only made it down to 61 and even AVL only got to 61. Those 50s peeps are further East; the orientation of the flow didn't bring it far enough west.

Just walked across campus and didn’t even break a sweat. Only another month-ish away before this is our full time deal for a while
Gotta love how monthly stats work out I'll finish August with AN rain but only have .48 for the last 3 weeks of the month

This is a "false" taste of Fall, it will be back in the nineties next week and Sept/Oct looks very un fall like

Big possibility. Summer thunderstorms may be turned off the rest of the season. I don't know maybe it'll change.

Disclaimer. This off a Right wing website. So no way shape form trying to start GW debate etc. Just passing along article. Does have good substainted facts about possible Atlantic cooling. Im a big beleiver in weather cycles for the record. And have been waiting to kinda see a decade similar repeat from the 60s-70s Atlantic wise. Think we had a lot of winter blocking episodes back then. Compared to the MIA's for the last decade or so.
Just Info folks thats all, you dont have to agree with narrative. So no need to debate that part.

Interesting thing about the 60s and 70s is that that period of strong winter blocking episodes came after the 1950s which had a lack of them and thus was a very mild stretch of wintersDisclaimer. Summer is coming back starting late this weekend and will be in force for the next two weeks at least. It looks like the Southwest will feel the brunt of the heat and chances for rain in the Southeast will be limited for the next ten days or so.

I’ve been looking at the EURO AI as it’s been pretty accurate imby. It’s not even close to this nonsense.
I do not pay attention to the 2m temps on the GFS. The Icon and ECMF are way more accurate. The giant heat island around the Atlanta metro on the GFS is an absolute programing failure.
BMX mentioned possible flash drought conditions later next week for Central Alabama with temps possibly in the low 100’s
