March 2024 Discussion

That month was absolutely brutal and had some of the highest nighttime lows I've ever seen in summer for much of the month. Quick stat; GSP experienced 5.8% of all it's 100+ day readings in its history in just that month (8 out of 138). I hope I never see a month like that again.
I was still living in Concord then and there was officially 14 days of 100 degrees+ highs… four of those days were 104-105. Overnights were very brutal as well. I remember going to a Panthers preseason game one of those nights and the kickoff temp at 8:05 was still in the mid 90s

Sounds like a typical August in Texas

Looks like the first legitimate look for the SE I’ve seen this year for severe potential. Everything checks the boxes here, somewhat confluent height pattern keeping a southern tracking S/W, blossoming sfc high around Bermuda, low pressure in the western SE. TWC app has rain here from next Friday through the following Thursday. And unfortunately it's going to get cool again next week.

The video I saw on news of the massive IN tornado at nighttime was crazy. You could see it with all the flashing.
Grapefruit size Hail.
