That snow drought in CLT is headed for 2000-3000 days or more. You will have to get above 3500 feet to see measurable snow in SC and NC.
Well, no snow in January. Wasting thw precip when we have precip because it's too warm, and going to waste the cold when we get it because we can't get the precip. It's ridiculous how hard it is to get snow outside the mountains in NC now. Our climate just sucks.
At least we have a long growing season. I'll take that over a short one any day!

Yeah, it literally can't get worse to me. No snow at all for 2 years now with an avg of 7 or 8" a year where I live. Places that average 1" a year are getting 10" this week. Sorry Deep South friends but it's just extremely frustrating watching the mountains block all our cold and the moisture as well, then warm rain comes later. I'm starting to sound like Brick?. Maybe if I would just change my avatar to the blue turd all would be well. ?.

I remember the days when any type of frozen precipiation in Shreveport was a pre-cursor for at least something winter related happening in Georgia/South Carolina...sigh.
Used to see if come from Texas and then up the southeast to NC. That hasn't happened in forever. Now it cuts up through TN all the time.
They’ve been flipping. Flipping us the bird for 2 years.

If it makes anyone feel better I was digging around in mud pit all afternoon trying to locate and fix a leak in my water line outside. Finally got it fixed tonight after dark. One good thing about the arctic front stalling is I don’t have to fill/pack the hole until tomorrow during daylight since it won’t be below freezing tonight…winning!!
