This will go on the southernwx wall of fame
It was awesome! Think official airport total was 12.8”hell yeah man. how was the storm- live up to your expectations?
kind of wild you have round 2, basically the same storm, right on your heels. always thought it's cool how meteorology works like that sometimes lol
totally jealous. not to get your hopes up looks like you're going to be in that northern-ish area of the snow shield where NWP has a tendency to underdo frontogenesis and totals in general. rooting for more overperformance for youIt was awesome! Think official airport total was 12.8”
Had a clipper swing through last night with about 2”
Then whatever happens tonight through Saturday ( could easily be another foot) colder air with this storm( upper 20s), last storm was 32 the whole event!
Yes it was better than I expected!! You never expect the crazy NWS totals that kept going up, we’re achievable ( final call map was 11-15”) to work out!
He gets the analog96 treatment with me.Guys, it’s over, the Mark Model says NC is too far south

It seems the GFS has finally found the correct solution. The trace of snow line is literally across the street from MBY. Hence, it will verify.
I will take my 0.2 and be happy hoping for a better trend at 18z.It seems the GFS has finally found the correct solution. The trace of snow line is literally across the street from MBY. Hence, it will verify.
I've seen this show before. Lawrenceville to Peachtree City gets hit while I try to spot a flake mix in with the rain lol.I will take my 0.2 and be happy hoping for a better trend at 18z.
Dang man, I am so sorry. I am near the airport. I hope this works out for you bro!I've seen this show before. Lawrenceville to Peachtree City gets hit while I try to spot a flake mix in with the rain lol.
It is a way overused term.Where exactly is the Midsouth? Is it those regions in between the deep and upper south such as Memphis, Chattanooga and Charlotte ? Perhaps even Tupelo, Huntsville, Dalton, and Greenville ?
Honestly, I think this is our ticket man!Watching the gulf out in Lala Land.

This is definitely the storm I’m watching.Honestly, I think this is our ticket man!
It could be. It's far out, but man that's the kind of system that can be historic with only minor tweaks.Honestly, I think this is our ticket man!
Yep..and athens and vicinity gets zilch. Frustrating since it wouldn't take but a tiny southward shift to be totally different but 9 out of 10 times the mountains screw us.I've seen this show before. Lawrenceville to Peachtree City gets hit while I try to spot a flake mix in with the rain lol.
Hey I live minutes from between seems like the perfect spot to never get snowI've seen this show before. Lawrenceville to Peachtree City gets hit while I try to spot a flake mix in with the rain lol.
Yea....hopefully us in Mcdonough can get in on the fun....we are always standing at the fence watching others play!Yep..and athens and vicinity gets zilch. Frustrating since it wouldn't take but a tiny southward shift to be totally different but 9 out of 10 times the mountains screw us.
