I wouldn't put much stock into the GEFS "signal" at day 10+ yet. Most likely, the Midwest cashes in as we approach mid-January.

I think we have quite a few of these kind of events before we score on down the road. Typical El Nino stuff.

Those NW of I-85 look to still be in the game for the 2nd wave around 1/7 on the EPS

For what it's worth, most of that on the EPS mean is 10+ days out. There is a signal for 1/6-1/8
Just a few days ago, it looked good. That said, going with the less than ideal version is usually the right path to take.GEFS looks good. EPS is the problem child

Ran across your videos on YouTube this morning. Impressive young man.
Trailing wave, bombing system in the NE/Atlantic. Here comes a likely winter storm 
Exactly what you want to see right now.
GFS run was smooth, classic for NC/upper SE snow. vortex near SE Canada, keeping confluence in place for the trailing wave behind it, hence a good track and enough of an injection of cold air. A look I want to see get into the day 7 window. Need stream seperation from that southern wave and anything in Canada until it passes us 
Gefs Vs GFS at day 7. Need to keep stream separation while the southern stream wave is progressing east, it could mess things up if we get a badly timed phase early on with stuff dropping down from Canada. And plus I’d rather go the route of southern stream alone with the deep vortex off the coast 
While I don’t like this because it’s not really rooted to any cold (mentioned how the first system probably wouldn’t have much of a shot a few days ago) there is little noise with it, in the day 7 range. I’m sure anyone would take some token flakes

Gefs doesn’t really have much support for the GFS, if any, for #2. Last run the GEFS looked really good for #3. Let’s see what it does. Lmao

I’ll take my 2.8 and run like I stole it!!! I’m desperate! I got my 2 mini Aussie puppies in the Fall of 2019… they have yet to see a trace of snow to play in??
Really hard to dismiss the warning shots the models are firing off lately.
