Absolutely miserable out there! Winds are pretty remarkable. Minus the fact it's not snowing, the wind and precip intensity reminds me of the noreasters I experienced when I lived in Philadelphia.

Rode up to Walker top Mtn in SW Burke ,NC it's right behind my house and sits at 2900ft. Currently 32° freezing rain with sleet/graupel. Hopefully we can get a changeover up here at some point this morning.

...Very Light Snow Possible Across the Higher Elevations of
northeast Alabama and southern middle Tennessee This Morning...

Rain will mix with snow or briefly transition to all snow this
morning across portions of southern middle Tennessee and northeast
Alabama. A light accumulation of snow will be possible on grassy
surfaces and elevated objects, mainly for locations above 1000 feet.
This includes ridgetops along the Cumberland Plateau, as well as
portions of Lookout Mountain and Sand Mountain.

However, due to surface temperatures remaining above the freezing
mark, widespread travel problems are not anticipated. Still, please
use caution when traveling this morning as roadways are wet from
earlier rainfall.
