Tulsa at 13 degrees and sleet. I would be so dissapointed if that happened here.

Normally I would be but we had 6 inches of snow 3 weeks ago ? things have changed. I mean I will say I'm not quite as hyped as I was about the snowstorm but there was no way this was gonna be quite the same. Now yeah if that hadnt happened oh I'd be mad for sure

OKC reporting a thunderstorm at 11 degrees!

That is incredible! I have only heard thunder snow 2 maybe 3 times since 2006.

Just took a little walk outside now that the sleet has let up.... Definitely feels different than snow and my footprints aren't as noticeable

It is actually hot out, really amazing temp contrast from west to east, same old thing from last winter. 23 in Dallas and 13 in Tulsa is crazy for this time of year

Sleet beats snow by a landslide for staying power. It isn’t just about the inches! It is about the water content/density. The fluff of snow can’t compete.

Is the Arctic going to for the 5th winter in a row have its coldest in March? I don’t know yet. But the Arctic has plunged in recent days and is now near its coldest this winter at near 245 K/-28 C. Note that the coldest normal (green line) in the Arctic is still two days from now (Feb 25th):

It was great having a winter where radar images like these are still possible! Hard to look at this and not enjoy the winter as a whole. Was a solid storm and a beitiful memento to have us remember it can still happen! View attachment 114316
Even with the overall lighter amounts, it was a all snow event that over performed , which makes it a A+ storm for me
