24 deg, mod to hvy snow here in Mooresville. Had a brief period of some sleep mixed about an HR ago. 2-3" down so far

Over 6” with moderate to heavy sleet. I really don’t understand Mets saying sleet and ZR knocks off your snow totals. The sleet is sitting right on top and we haven’t lost a bit of accumulation. Have actually added to it. Hopefully this switches back over to snow around lunch time

I doubt we get to 32, espacilly during precip. Models always try to erode the CAD to fast. This one is locked. That was intense for 20 mins. Ill take the 50/50 snow sleet ratio , but sleet will win the day here soon. Nervous cary poster is already frzng rn. Serious waa up above with that ull. Glad the grounds white outside. We need those rates from 1st week Jan event with todays surface temps. Maybe next weekend is the one.
All sleet here now. The ice storm is begining. Saw north Asheville report of sleet mixing in a while ago
Got sleet mixed in here. 35.8/33 and dropping about a degree an hour.
Some ZR starting to mix in getting a slightly noticeable glaze
Switched to sleet here after 15mins of Snow at the start. Brutal. Happy for folks in the upstate though, a nice over performer.

Snow flurries pretty much ending with the daylight. This winter event was a nice little taste IMBY. I'm pretty excited for those scoring a big hit with the storm right now. Keep up the reports and pics!

25/24 (temps/dew still dropping still)
6.5” snow (snowing heavy) and already pass my current 3-5 NWS forecast, lol!!
Ice line still has move up to Gville, SC so should have at least 2 more hours of good snow rates.. Love over preforming front end snows.

It is 27.2 degrees and moderate sleet is falling here in Southern Wake County. We have a light dusting sleet on exposed surfaces so far.
Heavy snow, 20.5degF/19...close to 2" now in Summerfield, 9mi northwest of GSO
My best friend back in Greenville is confirming this to be the best snowstorm since we were kids. I need numbers from the upstate crowd?
