Can someone explain why the Locals are Downplaying the Snow North of 85 in upstate? I mean from all the short range models today to a colder more snowier Scenario, what are they thinking?

I can’t imagine the struggle for mets here in central/north Alabama at forecasting winter events. The bust factor is so high here with any event. Local mets are still all over the place with totals and understandably so. Typically they begin very conservative and shift when necessary a day to a few hours before the event.
That's a crazy find Lick. Maybe the rent is super low there. I'm all for any of these old crossroad general stores finding a new use.

No, no it's not good. I have never, ever, in my entire weather weenie life been in the bullseye more than 24 hrs out and it verify. Stupid Euro, I'm screwed already......... NEXT!!!
I got bullseyed with the December 2018 storm and I got a big storm, albeit I didn't get the most come verification time.

No it’s a lot colder feeling because of the low dews . I’ve always noticed this to be the case . I was in shorts all day playing disc golf . Took my body 2 hours to defrost after that. Ooof.
