I don’t know. It has taken forever to clear Memphis. It been snowing their since this morning.

It’s a low level jet that develops on the backside of a strengthening mid latitude cyclone, and can produce damaging winds, the last time there was a sting jet around here was with hurricane Michael, I think the hrrr is overdone on wind gusts tho

Upper level low was just barely a tick south this run but there’s a noticeable vort max under the ULL on the nam which probably is contributing to better CAA in WNC

Doubt we get accumulation but definitely think Spartanburg and Cherokee counties can get a couple hours of backside snow. Most models have had that look or it’s very borderline.

I want to see the NAM 3km thermals...if there's one thing NAM does well at, it's the thermals and how quick the cold can rush in. That to me is more important than the actual radar depiction.
