Tropical Major Hurricane Irma (Part 2)

Even when it's not gusting here, it's windy but I'm further south than some of you. This might not get as bad as it could've been but it's at least like last year so far, with still a ways to go.

Power just flickered for the 1st time. The worse band looks to be pushing in from the SE

My brother who lives in Dublin GA says he is w/o power and has already lost one tree.

Meh, top gust so far 25 mph . Steady light rain though!

Outages up to 310,000 for GA power. They are starting to spread more north now. Spotty outages up to Gwinett County and a couple up to Toccoa area. I expect only a few more hours until flickers begin.

It's pretty rough on the coast, up here good rain, not a ton of wind. Peak gust at GSP is 32 so far. Worst is not supposed to be here until 3-10pm! Weatherbrad has a good video on FB about timing for upstate and NC areas

Dallas GA just a steady rain and breezy so far I expect we got another 2-3 hours before it really picks up but I'm about 1280 foot elevation too so gonna give a leg up to the high winds once they get her

Should be able to post every now and then so long as the cell tower service works, and I doubt they go down unless the towers lose power.

I don't have a smart phone. d: if the power goes out it'll mean I actually have to play school with the online work...and I should look at the website in case the power DOES go before it does (although I don't want to today).

Power still on here in Northern Forsyth County by Lake Lanier. Had a handful of 30-35 mph gusts so far. Looks like things may go downhill as we move into the afternoon.
