Agreed! It's DEF NOT Due north, but If on current heading (smoothed out) landfall will likely be quicker and further east than NHC has it.

Getting a increase in lightning activity. The western eyewall is filling in as well the last few scans 
Perhaps the only saving grace for New Orleans is that they the eye will track over or just west of the city.
If I remeber correctly, part of what contributed to the levees breaking was the intense northerly wind flow on the W/SW side of Katrina's eyewall.

FWIW the 6z HMON is very close to a Cat 5 landfall, showing 135kts before the model starts land interaction. The HWRF is around 120-125kts. Both are too high of current slp by 10-15mb.

What the crap. That’s the SW eyewall?!
That is solid Cat 4 at the surface anywho in that region of the eyewall. If confirmed this is already a likely Cat 5.
Imo this thing is gonna become a 5
