Cant describe the rain rates and how quickly my yard turns into a pond when I get under one of these. Crazy hurricane type rains.

.85 Decent total but rather meh in terms of overall weather experience.

It never ceases to amaze me how often the western Piedmont manages to mess up a great setup like this. We managed maybe a tenth of an inch since last night while just to our east, it's been pouring all day. We can't even eek at a decent storm this way. Really thought today was our day.

As of 630 PM Thursday: Most of the radar returns currently are
across the western Upstate and and the NC foothills. An outflow
boundary over York (SC), Chester (SC), and Union (SC) is moving from
east to west and will interact with the ongoing activity within the
next hour or two. This should help storms to increase in intensity
and allow for training cells and longer duration of heavy rainfall
over the Upstate and NC piedmont, while the convective environment
lingers past sunset within the warm sector. Scattered to numerous
showers and storms will continue well into the evening across the
CFWA before tapering off overnight with just a few lingering showers
expected. Localized flash flooding and strong to severe
thunderstorms will continue to be a possibility until midnight
tonight or so.
GSP digging themselves a bigger hole. Not a chance of this happening this evening.

I think so, I’ll do a station check for you as well. If you hear a rustle in the bushes tonight don’t worry it’s just me measuring everything is at the correct height.
I'll not be the one that should worry if I hear a rustle in the bushes tonight

I give up not gonna be here for a while how did CLT fail today is a question that dewpoint dan cant even answer
Charlotte has not failed just yet. The GSP metro certainly has though along with the foothills of NC. I wonder if downsloping could be the cause. That has messed the I-85 corridor up many, many times.

This is just causing me to feel nothing but anger and resentment against, well everything. Thank goodness I am going to LA next week. I will have the same type of weather without the humidity.
You would think with LA being right on the ocean they would have lots of humidity.
