Winds didn’t last long power flickered trees went side ways briefly. But that lighting is cloud to ground and sharp

Going to miss again it looks like while places less than 2 miles away get hit for the 2nd time today. Summer pattern showing it's hand early here. Hot and dry. Late next week will probably be no help either with 1 or 2 places getting good rain while the rest of us stay dry.

There’s an entire line of heavy rain slowly moving west. What are you talking about

The line at the leading edge of the band is east of here now after dropping a trace. The rain behind the line looks like it may try to split into 2 pieces and go by to my north and south.

No drought buster but much needed relief for many .. the busting comes next week later on in the week when I think we could have widespread showers and thunderstorms ..

Looks like the chances went way up for NC today. From 30% up to 70%. Could be a decent event after all and maybe a little all the way back to GSP.

I get my .... from California
 
It’s been no higher than 65 all morning with a cool breeze. Man it feels good!
 


this is when rain ... that cold front is clear as day on satellite and when that interacts with an unstable airmass to the south things boil and boom
 
Fronts made it into NC. Henderson is in the mid 60s upper 50s pushing into south Virginia . Looks like our rain happens throughout the night . Looks like daytime not as much especially after noon it clears out . I’d wager we end up warmer than the pesky 50s gfs had other day, probably low to mid 60s. Still very cool cool for this late in the season .

Combined with upper 80s and 90s . Personally I feel a bit robbed of warmth this spring , hope it lasts late into the fall. We can enjoy fall in the winter just warm up October for me. Still running -1.5 for this may mainly because of the lows.
