I was 42 for the first batch of sleet, and I'm 45 for this one at 2:15. Hope you and Greg see something good. I'm figuring this is just some sleet before the column gets good and wet. Maybe north will have some staying power. Good luck! T

I just think the warm nose is going to kill our chances at an extended period of snow other than at onset. Think the HRRR is underestimating the warm nose but I certainly hope it’s correct.

Thank, lol, but if I'm not sledding on it, it's just a curiosity I trust you'll do better, and we have chances in Feb, all of us, so just need lows further south and we're golden.

my calculated wet bulb temp is only 38.2
I think I am bit too far south for accumulating snow (even though I am "north of I-85" in Upstate SC, just south of DT Greenville, and at 1000 ft in elevation)

Thanks, Cheston, but I need more than this to wax the runners. At least Feb wants to give us chances, based on low placements. Maybe we get lucky this year, and cover the deep south with sn and ip I love for Rosie to get clobbered, but she needs to share wealth, lol. Edit: ip went to rain, went to nada. I've been in the slot most of the day so far.

when there is a defined well shown warm nose, it will, if anything, over perform.

Ignore the HRRR for now. It has a high reflectivity bias and poor handling of the warm nose in the LR. Don't get excited about the clown maps, also don't be surprised if it changes soon.
