12z runs of the EURO, NAVGEM, GFS, and CMC have this back over water, and intensifying in 72 hours. I think the NAVGEM showed it to get just a strong as it is now, if not stronger for a second landfall in LA.

I honestly think entire cities and towns might be destroyed by this storm. This is like the biggest worse case scenario to ever happen when it comes to storms like this. I pray for the people of Texas

As bad as it already is on or near the coast we still have more surge, the second half the eye, and an unholy inland flash/river flooding event to go and that doesn't even cover the potential for another landfall.

The NHC claims its moving NNW, the radar claims extreme NNW, and the satellite claims extreme NNE. I'm going to stick with the radar, but shouldn't this be turning west by now?

All models are showing a counter clockwise rotation, or west to south to east to north.
