You may be right but area in west MS are snowing with temps upper 30s

I get what you’re saying here because it would appear to be a blanket rule to some but there are thermal dynamics in the atmosphere at different levels which have a big impact on precip type you get. You can get snow in the upper 30s with rain at 33 depending on the thermal dynamics above the surface.

Not to be debbie downer...but, those in MS and even W AL that will see snow at 32-35 is because all levels above that layer are below freezing. Temps at 925 and 850 are like 2-6c. not going to cut it. Sure we will see some evap cooling, but this just isn't our storm. I think outside of maybe above 1k feet over NGA mtns....any snow flakes (I doubt) or sleet pellets at the onset of the precip...it won't last long. it sucks....

It's more about 900 and below for N GA. Here's a sounding from tomorrow when the heaviest arrives. 44 is just too warm.

As much as I love snow, it wouldn't bother me to see none out of this. I've already chased 4 times already and seen my share. I'm hoping for my friends north of me to score

That's nice, since that picture is for 1PM tomorrow, let me know what the temp is there tomorrow at 1PM.

Kind of snarky but yeah, this storm was never meant to be in GA at least in the last several days of modeling. I am sitting at 31F currently so hoping to see a few flakes fly before the warming takes over and I also think that's possible.
