Can confirm that cooling. Down to 37.9 and the DP is still at 35 so will probably drop the temperature a little more.No wonder stuff is mixing in around there, your maximizing dynamical cooling/top to bottom cooling with this heavy stuff View attachment 64064
Yeah the 3km NAM has been fairly consistent with this today showing my part of Union County with around 2 inches and now HRRR is steadily showing it as well. I was wondering if GSP might include us in the WWA but I can see given the potential that it’s a more in the way of localized nature, they’ll probably pull the trigger later if the models stay consistent with it through the night.
Is the 4-8” more for the higher elevations of Surry County?Somebody explain to me why NWS put me under a winter storm warning for 4 to 8 inches of heavy wet snow, then they tweet out a graphic showing expected snowfall 2 to 3 inches?

Yeah, they had me at a low of 37 tonight and it’s 37 now! Had no idea temps and crashed that fast. I was at 47 two hours ago.Temperature definitely dropping a little faster then forecast. Already heading into the 30s and the FFC forecast didn’t have me falling that far for another 2-3 hours.
It is! I've eaten there! Visited in December 2020! Ya'll are in for a treat tonight and tomorrow! That's going to be the sweet spot!View attachment 64065Hendersonville NC is a great place to visit.
Went from 43 to 38 once the rain/snow mix started.38.5 pure rain but I can tell we're not too far off with the quick drop.
Keep coming north!!Starting to see some sloppy mostly melted flakes make it down. Something frozen is very close.

He's been right on top of this, so far. He's the only one talking about ATL and GA trends.
Thank you... February 2015, January 2017, and December 2018 were all very frustrating here. Trying not to get to excited now, but it’s certainly nice to see things trending better the closer we get.I am rooting for you! I know at times it's really difficult to get snow down your way.
What has he said about those trends? He's been right on top of this, so far. He's the only one talking about ATL and GA trends.
