The vaccine being developed by Moderna looks to be even more promising than the Pfizer vac

Seems more practical to us pharmacists as well. NO WAY we’d be able to store Pfizer’s vaccine. Pfizer’s will be approved and maybe given to the military where sub zero cold chain is possible, but Moderna’s is the real deal for the masses IMO. May end up being a mix of several, including J&Js as well.

We are already getting our ducks in a row to give the vaccines and the big wigs have already given the vaccine a CPT code, so it’s getting close folks! I’m hopeful this time next year we’ll finally be done with this for the most part and covid will be behind us.

Yep. Leaving people with the only option of not leaving their house in order to not contract a virus sounds just like a country brimming with the individual liberties you described earlier....

Dude, your suggestion was to mandate Stay At Home orders. Don't pretend like you are magically concerned with individual liberties all of a sudden.

You guys gonna be giving the shots like CVS a does with influenza and Shingrix?

Pretty sure I didn't say anything about mandating Stay At Home orders. My comments were about personal responsibility to others.....but perhaps that is part of the bigger problem here. It seems that its hard to decide for society the line between personal responsibility and what and when it should be forced--if ever. I mean that genuinely, not sarcastically. That to me, seems to be common ground on both sides, is that it is hard to know where/if to draw that line.

Always side with more freedom even if benefits take longer to achieve because less freedom always takes longer to do away with.

Governor Cooper is speaking at 3 today. What is the over/under on new restrictions?
He'll shut it down soon enough but now just passing the enforcement off to individual counties. The new county alert system, interested in seeing exactly what this is going to look like..... mentioned "increased gathering and mask wearing enforcement" and "civil penalties".

Bright side the folks in chapel hill and Durham will lock themselves up real quick ! Rest of us will go about our business while the brave folks in chapel hill, Durham, and Asheville hunker down . Actually a bit worried , it’s not like wake county wouldn’t lock down as well .

Yeah my county actually issued a mask resolution and the Sheriff has instructed his Officer to enforce it. The Sheriff did a complete 180 on that too.... in fact Cooper just mentioned it ugh

Your family must live a long time if your Grandmother's uncle is still around
He was young actually for what you would expect. 70 years old, my grandmother's grandparents were having children early and all the way into their elderly age. Makes for interesting relatives, I have a second cousin who is in his 80s. My grandfather who is 82 has an uncle still in his 50s with cousins that are my age and even a bit younger,

Mildly surprised there were no additional restrictions noted by Gov. Cooper there. We’ll see how long that lasts, though. I’m definitely worried about another lockdown. They were threatening it talking about some of the draconian steps a few other states have taken.

I’ll be shocked if Ivey doesn’t impose restrictions in the next week leading up to another stay at home order.

Senator Chuck Grassley has tested positive for COVID-19. He's the president pro tempore of the Senate.

A fellow gym member stopped coming to the gym today due to his covid flaring up real bad. I feel bad for all the others in wheel chairs & elderly etc working out near him for days not knowing! Wilkes County.

I’m sorry what? His covid flared up bad like it’s some chronic arthritis ?!! Then how many people at your gym are in wheel chairs working out ?

It’s a normal gym we didn’t know he was positive until he grew more ill. There’s a few wheel chair people there everyday and the clientele is largely elderly.

Lol cancel Thanksgiving. What do families do at Thanksgiving. Sit around house, fellowship, enjoy a good meal and give thanks, watch some football on TV.
So you cancel Thanksgiving. Whats a family still gonna do. Sit around house, eat, watch a little TV. Guess they will substitute meatloaf for Turkey and ommitt giving Thanks that day.

Heck out in SanDiego its ok to go to a strip club. But Church is off limits now. Unreal the conclusions one side comes up with.

Yeah it would be on our protocol. Hopefully reimbursement is appropriate otherwise it will be a cluster trying to make it work. Pharmacists will probably vaccinate a large portion of Americans for covid if they really want the population vaccinated at warp speed. Need appropriate reimbursement though. If they only pay cost it will be an issue, as supplies and storage would end up costing pharmacies $ just to administer.

We might not all agree on everything, but I think we can all agree that we're so over COVID.

As far as I know, we're still going to travel for Thanksgiving next week, I have family that live in Florida now, but they agreed a while ago to leave the state for Thanksgiving (guessing my younger cousin and aunt aren't too interested in going to Florida either), so we're all going to congregate in a rented house in Atlanta.

I’m hearing rumors Gwinnett County locally here might be doing this after Thanksgiving.

That would be news to me, since my mom works for them. I haven't heard anything about Walton. At this point I don't even know if its a good idea or not. I can say students, parents, teachers, and other staff members are stressed and very tense about everything whether its covid related or not.

Walton is still going strong but the cases are slowly increasing across the county. If Atlanta and Gwinnett cave then it’s just a matter of time before everyone else follows.

If you find some ballots......
