Fall out today in Wilkesboro. Bojangles, Zaxby’s and Kotos shutting down over covid concerns. I believe the governors new code red systems puts pressure on them to shutdown. These places never shutdown over covid back when it was severe at Tyson Wilkesboro.

It looks like another record setting day for NC, with 4,200 new cases and more than 1,500 hospitalized,
Illinois reports 14,612 new cases and 180 new deaths.

Lost an aunt to the virus last night. We werent close over the last 10 years or so but still hate it because it looked as if she was getting better and then she crashed last evening and passed away.

Would be nice if Biden tied the corona vaccine to free $1,000 check. I mean if your not gonna take the free vaccine I don’t believe you should be helping stimulate the economy without it.
Anyone in pharmacy know if they will offer free $10 gift cards like they do with flu shots?

That's the problem at least in my area. Yes we are going to school (hybrid for 7-12) and wearing masks for all grades. But that is the only place people are wearing masks. Huge outbreak this week at the middle school being attributed to basketball games last week off campus at a basketball gym. This isn't the first time this place has started an outbreak either. 3 courts and people jammed packed in with little masks wearing and absolutely no social distancing. No personal responsibility to be seen in my area and people wonder why our numbers are skyrocketing and the hospitals are filling up

This is why China tests an entire city of 11 million in a week when they have a cluster of 12 cases. Mass testing is the best way out of this.

My 18 y/o nice likely has COVID. Her test has not come back yet but she has had high fever (~103) with body aches and sore throat. Another young woman (23 y/o) I know has COVID with the same symptoms, except she is having difficulty breathing.

I just noticed that the US is not even in the top 10 in terms of deaths per capita. Italy, UK, Spain all have higher death rates. You never hear the media mention that though. You would think the US is leading the world if you listened to the media.

Wearing a mask at home... screw that . I don’t wear it unless I absolutely have no other choice . Sure I was with it at first but honestly it’s all political now so yeah when I can get away with not wearing one I don’t . Besides , I already had it so I probably am immune to it if the latest decree from the church of science means anything .

It's One thing for Pelosi and Newsom to sneak off to dinner or the Salon in their Blue Haven state, it's another to throw a 500 person wedding when the rest of the State Legislature and LT. Governor are the other Political Party.
Yeah I'll get flamed for this but if the mask is basically the end all be all (and that's what many think when they hear leaders say it is "the number one defense against this virus") then why are numbers higher than ever? Yeah yeah yeah there are a few places where someone has been where they didn't see any mask wearing, I'd like to see these places, because everywhere and I mean everywhere I go I see more people wearing mask then ever. Was in Walmart yesterday in RR and I bet 90% had on mask, but yet we are an orange borderline red county??? There's something amiss here imho
Still some info floating around that she hasn't gotten married yet, the wedding is yet to come which means the communication director is correct.... for now. Who knows. Let's be honest, if his daughter is getting married no way they have only 10 people there and I highly doubt you and I would ever know about it anyway. Lol
I think they definitely help, but there’s this cult on the lockdown side that says if everyone wore a mask it would all be over within a few weeks, which is just laughable. People just want someone to blame for their problems, I guess.
