September Sizzling Summer Segway

After the rain from Sally it just looks downright gorgeous. Possibly lower 40s Sunday night! Much better September than 2018 and 2019. Now if only we could hold this for winter...
Looking at the models it looks like September won't repeat (or 3peat) the hot outcomes from the last two years. Fall is here!!! From RAH:

Rain will end from west to east Friday night into early Saturday.
Behind the cold front, a much cooler and drier air mass will settle
into the region for the weekend as strong Canadian high pressure
builds in from the north. High temperatures on Saturday and Sunday
are only expected to be in the upper-60s to lower-70s, or around 10
degrees below normal. Lows Sunday morning look to be in the 50s
everywhere, with even some upper-40s possible in the NW.

I've picked up 1.5 inches of rain the past 3 days. By Friday it seems I'll have at least half of my total for the entire summer in less than a week now that we're in Sept. Funny how that works!

76 low reported for 9-13... that's just sick. Good thing the cool down upcoming is for real this time. Hopefully goodbye to 70+ lows for 7 months too.. Just for kicks, the warmest low recorded last Sept was 74.. Although a much different pattern obviously.

Please let this 66F and cloudy magically hold all day With some secret CAD that they didn't forecast.

In seriousness, it really is amazing out

61° here this morning upon waking up. Man that was nice. Throwing on my 501’s and my Dan Post boots. Back to cool weather wear.

The 6z GFS is now showing a another system affecting portions of the SE. Here's 48 hour totals at hour 132 (does not include Sally totals):

Looks like an AN end to september per the gfs and euro. Still NOTHING like last year.
This time of year, I usually look at dew points as an indicator of comfort (does it feel nice or not). Looking at the 6z GFS, dew points will stay at or below 60 for the remainder of this month. I'll take that and jump for joy; especially after the last two years.

This would be crazy if this happens. Euro ain’t on board with the moisture coming out of the Gulf yet.

Spectacular weather continues through weekend. Highs in the 60s with sun in september is a bargain. Be some frost northern mtns sat and sun night

The Sep "sizzle" will be returning for the very last few days of the month through much of the country, including the SE, per recent model consensus. Don't put the bathing suit up yet..even Mack way up in IA...well @Tarheel1 you might want to wear a different one from your profile pic
