Ive heard the TX beaches dont compare to FL beaches. Is that true ?Loud storms most of the night here in Galveston but as the morning has gone on the rain has really diminished and this is my current view I could listen to this water all day
Not a big fan of winter but the thought of snow covered trees, snow covering the ground to the point where you Can’t see any grass blades And the cold crisp air sounds nice

Padre Island is probably the closest one to Florida here in Texas most of Galveston was just built up after Ike
Even more recent than that even I was here for a brief stop in 2013 before I moved to Dallas and I don't remember a beach here like it is now it was just rocks and the seawall so yeah it's come a long way from that

Slow movers today over stone MTN state Park Wilkes co. Flooding rains on Snapchat total washout near the water fall. Also looks very heavy rain over southwestern NC too

I may be about to finally be in luck on a pop up storm. One just started developing to the south of me, hopefully it'll build to where it's on top instead of stall and peter out.

Wouldn’t shock me if we get more hail reports today, lapse rates between 6-6.5, large cape in the -10 to -30 and lower freezing levels help
Just need to keep those cold pools at bay. I knew I would get skipped just based on the amount of wind we got which cooled the atmosphere just enough to warrant any development overhead.
Yeah that ofb yesterday moved away from you fast which killed off any development for you, there is a little pocket of MLcin in south CLT rn

It was hard to watch, lol. But yeah I saw the little pocket of MLcin but I am assuming it should recover.
That storm has got to be knocking down trees and then some. Imagine if it were over Myers Park/Dilworth... that would not a pretty site afterwards.

Started getting intense wind gusts. Likely 50 to 60 mph range. Saw part of a bradford get ripped off.

Temp has dropped to a comfortable 78. These storms just don't want to move or weaken. Non-stop thunder.
Enjoy! I had that on Friday night. Literally was nonstop thunder/lightning/torrential rains/wind. It was great. Really hoping for another one of those!
