Here is the local police statement on this whole `mask` ordeal in NC where people are making it into a much much bigger issue than it is....

FACE MASK ENFORCEMENT

It’s important to note law enforcement officers cannot criminally enforce the face covering requirements of the Governor's latest Order against individuals. However, if a business does not allow entry to a worker or patron because that person refuses to wear a face covering, and if that person enters the premises or refuses to leave the premises, law enforcement officers may enforce trespassing laws.
Much like the Governor’s previous orders, the Greenville Police Department will be seeking voluntary compliance from businesses. Our response will be complaint driven. As with previous matters, our first approach when receiving a complaint about a business who is not requiring face masks will be notifying that business of the complaint and educating that particular business about the current Order. This doesn’t necessarily require an immediate in-person visit from an officer. Often times, it can simply be addressed over the phone. If it becomes necessary and compliance is not achieved, the Greenville Police Department has the ability to cite any business that does not comply with the order. We have had success with voluntary compliance with our business community in the past and expect no different this time around.

In emergency situations, always dial 9-1-1. If you wish to file a complaint against a business for face coverings, you can call our non-emergency line 252-329-4315 or email us [email protected].

People with medical conditions which prevent them from being able to safely wear a mask, children under 11, people who are at home and people who are walking or otherwise exercising outside when not within six feet of others are excluded from the Governor's mask requirements.

No clue but I do know they murdered and terrorized thousands of black people for over a 100 years. The number of people downplaying the Klan are in denial or don't know how bad they were and still are.

Do we know for sure that 2 million wouldn’t die without social distancing? How do we know how many would die without SD (not our sd lol)

Did you read paragraph 4? And will fines be issued to businesses who refuse to promote wearing masks for its customers?

More than you think. As late as the early 90s in the local want ads they were still running advertisements for recruitments.

Harkers island NC use to have graffiti on a bridge that said "dont let the sun set on your black ass". I never would have known this except my former team leaders sister owned a hotel there and he would tell us stories of the craziness down there.

Near Aurora NC at one point someone painted a Confederate flag on highway 33 marking their territory. The DOT would clear and next time we'd go fishing it would be back.

This is all in my lifetime.

They're a disgusting group.

I’ve hear a lot about the Harkers Island folks . There used to be only one draw bridge and a black milk man got stuck one night and it didn’t end well. Least that’s what’s an older lady from around there told me .

It stops a prayer vigil or a moment of silence or even you going to get dinner fofor your family.

A curfew is 10x the infringement on constitutional rights than wearing a mask.

I think the ninth amendment is the one to look at for these protected rights. It is the compromise amendment that acknowledges that the framers didn't list all of the fundamental rights and it would not be wise to do so (you restrict liberty by doing it). These are unenumerated rights. Wearing a mask, or anything for that matter, is equivalent to birth control or abortion rights. A person is sovereign in their person and immediate space. So the government has no jurisdiction in matters of personal health and it is a fundamental right. That's why I don't think you can charge a women for murder (though I think it is murder to kill the unborn on purpose) but I think anyone that assists in that murder is liable.

Another way to look at it is the government can't take away my inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness with out due process. I agree that curfews are unconstitutional but even more so is looting, pillaging, damaging property and assaulting people. I don't give the "gov'ner" permission to tell me what I can or can't do with regards to my health and my body.
