90 dew point 74 at 1:51 at RDU! Heat index 99, maybe first triple digit heat index of the year?
I know I'm probably alone on this, but I am hating this heat and humidity today. Especially when organized convection chances are almost null. What I wouldn't give to get a storm to cool things down a bit.

Still getting snow in this area in May absolutely sucked. Horrible Spring or lack thereof. The mtn bonus is now shaving 5 to 10 F off the high temps. Loving the warmth!?

What is your elevation? I thought the snow fell around 4000 feet and higher?

About 2200 feet here, no snow but not exactly grilling on the deck weather in the French Broad Vallley, a spring devoid of that really unless you like to bundle up and don't mind 35 mph wind gusts.
BL mixing has commenced with dewpoint depressions developing and some decent wind gusts, also a decent ofb to the south of CLT that may allow some isolated storms to form

That ofb/storms south of CLT is pushing into a area with better CAPE/mid level lapse rates and area with 900-1100 jkg of DCAPE, and while I’m very skeptical, it wouldn’t shock me if a pulse severe storm or a few gets going
Got a decent view on that storm

Just can’t, there’s to much boundary layer mixing today (DP down to 62 from 70 earlier) but tommorow looks better as there will be a better surge in moisture and a decent little trough axis on us that should enhance wind shear in all levels and around 2500-3000jkg of SBcape that likely wont mix out like it did today, kinda suprised there isn’t a marginal for this, as this supports more organized multicells and more forcing would allow solid coverage

Already got a storm about an hour ago and now some more action has developed to my south and is moving my way. Not a bad evening if I do say so.

A pair of showers (one around lunchtime and the other one just now) totaled about 0.75.
Looking like a Convectively active day, could be some isolated severe storms, hrrr shows generally waves of multicells while the nam organizes them in a line, favoring the nam given the uptick in low level shear and 500mb flow

Haven't seen what I would consider a real storm at all in my area this season, despite the many many opportunities. Let's see if today can change that.
Just picked up .3” in a matter of minutes. Won’t be watering the garden this weekend.
Today looks like a real turd. Drizzle right now, storms die before they get here later

Well we are starting to get a little ml and sb cape. Disturbance is inching closer we should be able to fire some stuff off today
Getting a torrential downpour right now from rain showers that developed off the outflow from the storms along the I-20 corridor.
