Lots of cold rain, too, whole areas north get hammered with powder. :)

(Fab Feb 2004 being a notable exception!)
 
I’ve looked at Columbia SC, Lake Norman and Charlotte as potential places to move to. All would be warmer and better roads to get to places quicker.
 
I don’t like the people here so I wouldn’t wish nascar or Lowe’s coming back ever. Politics suck.

Looks like the weather might cooperate for us to actually get a race in tonight in Darlington.
 
Sometimes I do get onset icing cause NWS don’t realize cold dry air near surface can create ice despite air temp above 32. Happened a few times without warning.
 
Last night watched this couple 80k in student debt buy 120k tiny home that was eco friendly. So now they 200k debt and have to carry out their poop in buckets plus never have hot water cause they gotta refill it themselves by jumping on kitchen counter to refill in attic. ?

Lol I've been here over 5 years now and the driving I'll never get used to

I'm lucky I live up in a suburb and everything I do most days is close by literally I could walk to work

The summers are bad but after Alabama humidity it's usually not as dreadful as it sounds

The whole 100 degree day mess because we average 18 is more in the mind

Lately it's been the winters pissing me off only good winter here was the first one in 14-15

Omg that dude I hate him!!!hes a fraud who steals and repeats info...when he does make his own forecast he only does it during snow total or something odd and usually busts HARD
 
But at least he makes $$ off children at school.But anyone can make a Facebook page and repeat info

Since I guess it's the story of the week, I'm curious, how does an upper-level low "create its own cold air"? Is it simply just air that's decompressing? I looked it up on Wikipedia and it sort of helped but I'm interested in the mechanics being explained in a more... simple way. Lol
 
God worst mistake ever last night. I took the time to read recent Georgia coronavirus topics on reddit. It was dark as you'd imagine. Made me feel a warm sinking feeling in my stomach while I was doing that and now my body woke me up probably about an hour ago with a headache and I can't return to sleep.

Part of the reason for the headache might be this weird weather, but I really do think it's also this.
 
I just would like to say ---- cut-off lows, ---- temps in the 60s and ---- stratocumulus clouds in May!!!

That's all. Headed back into hibernation.
 
That’s actually dry, because those totals are for this event we just had
