By this point, what number of Americans must be infected if we use politicians/movie stars/athletes as our guide? It’s seriously getting silly how many famous people are infected by a virus that has hit what 0.03% of the US population.

If they had the ability to test every person in the US today, we would probably see a number closer to 2% I would say at least. Not every case is symptomatic and some states don't even test for mild symptoms.
 
The death rate from Coronovirus is now thought to be 0.6 according to a new imperial college. Flu is 0.1
3 weeks ago Dr Fauci thought it was 1.0 in response to reporters questioning it at being 3 to 4 %. That was prelim numbers being advertised by some models,media outlets.
 
NC Highway Patrol will no longer be doing any traffic stops for drugs or license checks because of the corona. So no more road checks of any kind.
 
Today not one Hospital in NC has a shortage of Hospital Beds.

In fact to my knowledge there isnt one Hospital as of today reporting they have no more hospital beds? Does anyone have a direct hispital quote saying they are full,cant except anymore currently? Has to be in NyC Id think. I know there are forecast,projections, but does anyone have a direct statement stating this as of today? Thats the whole goal we are trying to avoid so we save as many lives as possible.

My impression was that hospital beds weren't really the big concern as much as ICUs and ventilators available, and that instead of it being a concern today, it was about the projections 2 to 3 weeks from now.

Our local HD said today that peak here isnt expected until last week of April to first 2 week of may
 
With everything pretty much shut down, i wonder where all these new cases are coming from. Im guessing these new cases are from people infected weeks ago before measures were put in place.
 
Seeing the pattern continue that we have seen elsewhere. Really takes a super seeding event with close contact to take off. I wonder how many NYC cases will be linked to the Chinatown parade and Mardi Gras for NO.

Here we go finally 4 people arrested in NC for non-essential travel to Greensboro because they went to pray outside one of the abortion clinics. That is NOT ESSENTIAL travel folks you can pray at home.
