Wintry February 19-21, 2020 Winter Storm

These guys are professionals. I will give them that nod. I will also say to not cover your tail by hoisting advisories in the other 2-3 other northern upstate counties is a real head scratcher. Not that there’s a catastrophic bust potential with this event but I predict they will be playing catch-up tomorrow morning..which has already been the case twice so far this month
They are good at playing catch up in the upstate. And it has bit them in the butt a lot, you would think by now they learn

Yeah... they totally blew things a couple weeks ago in the Upstate. It’s one thing to start off low and adjust higher as an event is going, but they where issuing WWAs for spots that had already had 2-3 inches pile up.

Right now In Anderson SC the temp is 46 degrees and dew point 36 degrees. What numbers are we shooting for to get this thing started early tomorrow?

Can we please change the thread title to “WINTER STORM” cause it’s not a threat anymore it’s HAPPENING

Send me a picture of the snow in your yard, and I will change it right now.

Also guys, don't bash the NWS please. The weather will do what it wants regardless of any advisory or warning.

Confused at what your getting at people are forecasted to get warning criteria snowfall tomorrow... this isn’t a potential snow event this is a winter storm?

Hrrr holding steady with the RN/SN line noted by the line of brightbanding, it’s has actually slowly increased moisture north View attachment 35804

I am literally just due north of those yellows. Not sure if I should be nervous or optimistic. I'm going with nervous! So close to possibly jackpotting but so close to a sleet fest.
