Enjoy. Webb!Glad I decided to stay back in Fayetteville an extra day for this. It's been a few years since I've seen an inch of snow lol
I guess the sun angle killed it for us in GA. If only it had come in during the night or early morning hours.Oh great. The Nam looks totally different now. Doesn't show anything for Ga lol.
I'll post some cloud pics from raleighGlad I decided to stay back in Fayetteville an extra day for this. It's been a few years since I've seen an inch of snow lol
It is coming in the night. I am just going to go cliche and say it's nowcasting time! LOL. Our temps have risen here to around 48, and humidity is way down. DP is about 23 right now, so maybe the dry air will save us?I guess the sun angle killed it for us in GA. If only it had come in during the night or early morning hours.
Ok then. So timing for us in GA is perfect. What could go wrong ?It is coming in the night. I am just going to go cliche and say it's nowcasting time! LOL. Our temps have risen here to around 48, and humidity is way down. DP is about 23 right now, so maybe the dry air will save us?

Not far enough [dancing salt shaker]You can see a slight North shift so far with the models over the last 12 hours or so

For others, it hurts more since it is going North. Not far enough [dancing salt shaker]

You know it'll be further north than the models show when it's all said and done. Not far enough [dancing salt shaker]

I was pumped with the 6z runsYou know it'll be further north than the models show when it's all said and done.
I am looking at the surface as well. If you go by the SPC Hourly Mesoscale page, what is being predicted in central TN vs what is actually occurring is amazing. Here is the surface analysis.Basically everyone is sitting around watching 850 temps first and foremost and see how far the get south and the more southern your are then you hope surface temps drop as afternoon comes on
Outside of the Tennessee/NC border counties, north Georgia was never in the game, no matter what the awful snow accumulation maps showedFor others, it hurts more since it is going North.
Might not be far enough for me to get anything really, but it will still probably end up that way.I was pumped with the 6z runs

Well you would think if they can get 2" we could get at least an inch. We are higher in elevation than they are. Elevation has to count for something right ?I know Brad P mentioned this but there was a report of heavy snow from Paris, Mississippi in the northern portion of the state a little while ago, well southeast of Memphis where 2" of snow had already fallen and visibility was about 3/4 of a mile. Wouldn't rule out some flakes making it into northern AL and GA...

No theres a small town south of Oxford, MS called Paris.Paris, TN??
I'm scouring Twitter and other sources and see nothing about that snow in Paris, Mississippi..Paris, Tennessee yes. Temps throughout that region have been 39/40 degrees at the lowest this morning.I know Brad P mentioned this but there was a report of heavy snow from Paris, Mississippi in the northern portion of the state a little while ago, well southeast of Memphis where 2" of snow had already fallen and visibility was about 3/4 of a mile.
