Pattern Fab-February 2020 The dark age

Scary setup but one that can certainly produce a multiple wave winter event. The release of the wave out west and its interaction with the trough in the Rockies will obviously make or break the event. This could easily go toward a cutter or a ho him rain event arriving after the high moves out. This has been the event we are looking for though where the SE ridge becomes a benefit versus a hindrance.

Serious question SD. How is the SER a benefit in this situation? I've read the same thing posted on this forum a couple of times before about other storm systems but It wasn't explained. Just trying to learn, thanks.

1. SAV had a record obliterating high of 86 today. Only one day has been hotter in met winter since the 1870s, an 87 on 2/25/2018. There have been 4 other 86s, which occurred 2/16-28. So,. today's 86 was the hottest so early in the season.

2. Prior to today going back to 1871, Jacksonville, FL, had not reached 89 during the interval Nov 4 though March 9. Today changed that. What an amazing summ....I mean winter it has been in the deep SE!

Thanks for the anger and sadness ... but not necessary ... it's just another day ... it was 6º here in 1899 ...

If Jacksonville were to have the temps similar to 2019 and 2018 between now and early May, they may not reach today's 89 again for almost another 3 months!! That's how out of place it is.
