Gotta be a tough night for brick the NW trend went the wrong way and the heels lostSince y'all have no snow to cover live you need to get your hands on some explosives, get a big ass wooden crate, write Winter in huge letters on the side and blow it the hell up! Put that on the live show drop the mic and call it a winter.... boom!

Nope. My only hope is I get more precipitation further north then what the models are showing. With how wacky the models have been it wouldn't shock me to get a nice surprise. Then again I'm not counting on one.I dont think Olhaussen will like that run.

They are snowfall....but they are last night's mapsThese maps are potential snow rates right? Not actual accumulations since the ground is so warm.

They're total snow maps which essentially means that they assume that all the snow that falls and reaches the ground doesn't sublimate (change from ice to gas), melt, and the ratios are all 10:1 (10" of snow per 1" of liquid), which is rarely a good approximation in the south where ratios are often near or lower than this due to the higher temperatures and moisture content of the air but when you're trying to create maps efficiently and for such a large area, taking the time to code a formula that would vary the modeled ratios as a function of temperature and moisture would be a waste of time since the models suck anyway...
The overnight timing for Ga is good to get accumulation if it does snowThanks SD. North Ga doesn't look too bad on the 00z Nam. But....I know that snow won't stick unless you are in far north Ga.
We don't have to worry about the sun angle !!! Georgia people, I think this is our storm !The overnight timing for Ga is good to get accumulation if it does snow

Based on the map I just saw I'm thinking of getting a hotel in Blairsville. But who knows, things can change between now and tomorrow night.Right. I think from Rome north might do well. I am hoping things can trend better for the north side of Atlanta. But, I know it's probably just too warm.
Isn't next week's system a little far away for the NAM to be reliable ?I love the NAM was so far NW with next weeks system

Maybe I'm the only one who hates tornadoes ?Well, at least we can look forward to the heart of tornado season that's virtually right around the corner for the southern US

I think Storm may want to reconsider his trip to Monteagle lol. Come to NE GA Storm !Sign me up buttercup

Looks like dry air below 850 is really a big problem for central NC. Since I am grasping at straws you could possibly see a few flurries make it to the surface if there are some heavier pockets of precipitation
