Tiny snowflakes in Uptown Charlotte. Started as snow here - better than the rain-snow mix last Friday
I was basically in the same situation. It was ripping all morning but 35 degrees. I did have some mixing problems for the first hour as well though.
5.5 inches here and down to pixie dust. Think that may be the end of it. Wow, just wow!
Flakes aren't quite dime size but it is ripping right now. Sticking to elevated surfaces

Yeah, it can happen. If my memory serves me correctly, I believe the winter of '88-'89 was warm. Luckily, we ended up with a pretty good storm in the latter part of the winter (last week of February) with about 5" of snow.
I took several measurements and it came to be 4.5" total here. Pretty good event.
Just scooped up a cup of dirt and put it in the freezer. Should help me tell that snow is reaching the ground since it will stick on that frozen dirt immediately.
Reports of snow as far south as 20. Between MM 16 and 28.
You can hear it in the local Mets voices here. They busted and they know it. But they won’t admit it and they know they were a smidggge away from an epic bust and major major travel problems here.
Radar looks much better. Lots of snow reports in CLT.
