Glad this is working out for some, something outside CAD areas for a change !
0.25" accumulation central Huntsville on every surface but the roads.
That could be headed your way. Could be a surprise dusting maybe in ATL ?
CHA airport officially reporting snow as well as of 5:09 EST with a temp of 36. Plenty of action left based on radar. Upstream from us in Huntsville they are now down to 32.

About half an inch now in Huntsville. Some accumulation on roads. If that to the west doesn't dry up we could see an inch or more perhaps. 32/32 at my house now.
Pretty much just all sleet here. Cars are covered in a nice sheet of it now. 33 degrees. To think, this could all be snow if just a degree or two colder just above the surface. Blah.

I'm in Huntsville too. Can hardly believe we are getting so much (by our standards at least).
Overperfoming in Huntsville for once! It is within the modeling envelope though, especially GEFS and SREF Plumes.
pretty much all light snow now... cars topped with about quarter inch of sleet and snow. Ground isn't getting white though. Maybe if it keeps up.
This is a great little snow honestly. Roads are mostly fine, about an inch, enough to cover up the grass. Still lightly falling great storm. Temp and DP 31.8/31.6, so still moist at the surface.

Happy for the guys getting snow! Places like Huntsville has really missed as of late. Glad it’s working out for them!
34 in Chattanooga as of 7:12 EST. Looks like the heavier radar activity is about to start moving in and knock us down to freezing. I really like the looks of that stuff in Mississippi, hope it holds together.
I was scared it's over.. Hopefully one good round left with temps around 32, and we sneak an inch or so on the grass.

Dang this is really nice coverage if it's right now...
I read where If Huntsville recorded more than .4 inches of snow today, that it would be the most since 2015. That is mind blowing.

Places in the southeast today have received their first snow before DC and PHL did (saw this on the twitterz though). 
moderate snow now, heaviest I've seen so far today. Looks like the sleet mixing in is over. Now, question is, how long will this last?
Huntsville issuing winter weather advisory until 1 AM. Speaking of 1-2 inches now. Seems to be over performing up that way. Super jealous

According to radar I'm about 40 miles from the rain/snow line.. temperature is at 36. Probably won't see anything but great that Huntsville finally got some!

The WunderMap still looks really nice for areas in Alabama/Tennessee/maybe even far NW GA (Mississippi too), caveat is it might have too much coverage but I saw some two really good looking heavier bands both on NWS and the WunderMap.
Might see some isolated up to 3" for some that get them.
I only looked a little but the short range models were actually firing warning shots on the dry slot from Nashville north last night, fwiw.

My deck and the cars are white and grassy areas have some white too! I'd been inside at basketball since 6 and came out to see snow flying and school is cancelled tomorrow!
good grief my finger nails are dirty.. very embarrassing..
Sounds like the roads are really bad there !

Just measured at an inch, and that's with some settling. Hopefully we get one more good burst. It's warmed up to 34 here.
yuck on the warming... not a good sign for Chattanooga lower elevations.

They aren't lol. I think they are anticipating them to be bad in the morning. Plus, I think the crazy flu outbreak at our schools pushed it too.
Finally swapped over to sleet ?
